AOMC Membership Eligibility Requirements

General Membership Tier

  • For all individuals interested in orofacial myology, with or without an education background in the field of, or in a related healthcare field.

Active Membership

For this status, the applicant should comply with the following:

  • The applicant must be registered in a regulated health care profession in CANADA, with more than TWO (2) years of education in said regulate health profession.
  • To be in good standing with their regulatory body
  • The applicant should demonstrate at least 28 CE in Orofacial Myology

Canadian Certified Orofacial Myologist (CCOM)

For this status, the applicant should comply with the following:

  • The member has successfully completed the written and clinical components of the AOMC Certification process

The AOMC represents Canadian health care professionals who wish to advance, integrate and practice Orofacial Myofunctional Therapy within their allied health care fields and provides its members with education, information, and certification to advance the field of Orofacial Myology and promote integrative health practices throughout Canada.

Together, we can advance the field of Orofacial Myology through education and awareness within the general public, as well as through assessment, diagnosis and treatment of Orofacial Myofunctional Disorders (OMDs) within our practices to help all individuals thrive.
